Digital Technologies For Marketing (Week 1)
The first day in a new class can often be daunting for some. Personally, I was never the biggest fan of the whole "stand in front of the group, tell us your name, your course and one random fact about yourself" business.
Today was my first class in Digital Technologies For Marketing module. It is due to be taught be Mike Watson for the remainder of the academic year. Mike is currently a visiting lecturer to Bucks as well as being a successful Entrepreneur, Brand Developer and Marketeer.
Instead of the awkward "introduce yourself" scenario, Mike taught us about aligning skills with personal objectives. It was an extremely interesting topic of conversation and that is what I'd like to share with you today.
Evaluating and understanding your range of skills is an important part of self-discovery which will prove invaluable as you develop your career and experience in your chosen industry. It is about identifying your strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for success. This methodology can provide a powerful framework to guide the structure of your thinking.
