Modern Marketing Information & Analysis (Week 24 - Exam Revision)

It's that time of year again... The academic year is coming to close and everyone is getting excited about sunshine, BBQs and all things Summer. First though, we have to be put through exams. Some of us don't mind them and some of us absolutely hate them. I've never been a big fan myself as I can sometimes find it difficult to find effective revision techniques that help.

Today is the start of another new blogging series. I have created a few blogs in the past (although none near as extensive as this one so I am extremely proud of myself for keeping it up as long as I have and as long as you continue to read and I enjoy myself, I'll continue to blog) and have never thought of implementing revision techniques so I thought I'd give it a go!

In secondary school, I vaguely remember taking a short test to see which revision methods suit me best. My result was that I am a "Kinesthetic" learner. To you and me, that means I learn better by "doing things". I am an avid reader but revision wise, I can read notes for hours but not much will stick in my mind. I learn by highlighting key passages, writing from memory, role playing etc.

As a result, my blog has become home to one of my new ways of revising for my end-of-year exam on the 23rd of May. Today, my examination tutor and course leader, Vic Davies introduced the class to what key topics the exam will cover, what theory needs to be revised and all the necessary information we need to know...

  • Concept Testing
  • Tracking Studies
  • Econometrics
  • Behavioural Economics
  • Neuroscience
  • Our individually-chosen IPA case study (including the econometric model, results and R2 figure)

So... My "Lecture Logic" series is over for my fourth module; Modern Marketing Information & Analysis. It's been one of the toughest modules I've studied this year and many hours typing away at my blog. I hope you've enjoyed it and want to continue with me on my revision schedule!

If you have any exams coming up and have any tips for revision you think could work for me, do let me know down in the comments and I wish you the best of luck on exam day!
