Public Relations Practice & Skillset (Week 4)

Today, we were fortunate enough to meet Caroline Kinsey, Chairman & Founder of award-winning PR agency Cirkle, in Beaconsfield. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the session as it allowed me to achieve a great insight into the world of Public Relations and agency-life. It definitely reassured me that PR is the type of environment I would personally love to work in. As a result, as the session helped me so much, I decided to convert my notes on her talk with us into a press-release format. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it and gaining the opportunity to speak to Caroline!

Allowing Bucks New University students to gain an exciting insight into the world of public relations, chairman of multi-award winning PR agency “Cirkle” Caroline Kinsey today enlightened what a typical working week is like.

Driven by genuine target audience insights, cultural content and multi-channel approach; Cirkle’s passion and enthusiasm lies in executing “best-in-class” strategic PR campaigns that drive dedication to clients’ brands and deliver constructive results that positively impact their success.

Since it was founded 14 years ago, Cirkle have become one of the UK’s leading consumer brand PR consultancies and have worked with many popular consumer brands (just a few of their previous clients include Walkers, Ferrero and Jack Daniels).

“Cirkle follow two mantras” comments chairman Caroline Kinsey, “Stay fair and reasonable. Remain proud and confident”. This has been proven successful for the agency as figures have shown they achieve much higher than average retention rates.

“An empty office is a busy one” says Caroline, “that means staff are out meeting new clients and drumming up more business”. Cirkle are the first and only agency to ever be awarded 100% in the PR industry’s Best Practice Audit, taking pride in pushing creative boundaries and compelling context to achieve “tangible commercial results that impact clients’ bottom lines”.

With Caroline’s 25+ years experience within the marketing and PR industry, she aims to deliver double digit growth each year for Cirkle whilst focusing on her three main aims; “manage the award-winning team, drive new business and keep staff happy and motivated at all times”.
